Mobile Technology on the Move

November 20th, 2009

Mobile communications technology has, undeniably, made itself a part of everyone’s way of living. We, who are living in an era where technology evolves faster than those of eons past we know of or might have known, have profusely displayed the need to be within constant reach to the most important people in our lives.

Mobile phones, PDA’s, and laptops also evolved to meet that need which is changing constantly. Among the three gadgets mentioned, nothing could ever top the mobile phone, or at least not in some years to come. Ubiquitously, the mobile phone is the only communications device acquired by almost anyone, regardless of nationality, age, gender, geographical location, race, and culture. Perhaps the mobile phone is mobile communications’ avatar.3

Mobile communications has also spawned mobile entertainment. Although music-on-the-go is not an original concept, which was represented by the ever-loved Walkman cassette player, mobile music has found its way to be a part of the modern mobile phone’s arsenal of advanced features Of course we have the iPod complete with the iPod accessories and iPod cases. But having one device that could do the almost the same thing, seems to be a better idea (a logical and practical one at that). Plus, with all the fuss about 3G and Web browsing, mobile entertainment’s fusion with mobile communications is just great.
